How to reset the tire pressure warning on a BMW XM?

I recently purchased a used BMW XM and the tire pressure warning keeps coming on. I checked the tire pressure and everything seems fine. Is there a way to reset the warning without going to the dealership?

You can try resetting the tire pressure monitoring system by pressing and holding the reset button located in the glove compartment for a few seconds. If the warning light does not go off, you may need to have the system checked by a BMW mechanic.

Make sure that all tires, including the spare, are properly inflated to the recommended tire pressure. If the warning light continues to come on, it is possible that there is a sensor issue and you should have it checked by a mechanic.
