First, you should check the oil level in your car regularly to avoid this issue. If the oil level is low, you can top it up using the recommended oil for your BMW model. It is important to make sure the oil level is within the recommended range.

If your BMW has a dipstick, you can use it to check the oil level. Make sure the engine is turned off and the car is parked on a level surface. Simply remove the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it and then check the oil level. If it is below the minimum mark, you can add more oil.

In case your BMW does not have a dipstick, you can check the oil level using the car's onboard computer. Refer to your car's manual for instructions on how to do this. If the oil level is low, you can add more oil through the designated port.
