How to troubleshoot a noisy engine in a BWM

I recently started hearing a loud noise coming from my BWM's engine. It's especially loud when I start up the car and goes away after a few minutes. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The most common cause of a noisy engine in BWM cars is a malfunctioning timing chain tensioner. This can cause the chain to become loose and produce a rattling noise.

Another possibility could be a worn out water pump. If the pump bearings are failing, it can cause a loud grinding or whining noise.

I would recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to diagnose the issue. They will be able to pinpoint the exact cause of the noise and provide a solution.
