How to troubleshoot a non-working power window in a BMW?

I recently noticed that the power window on my BMW is not working. The window doesn't move at all when I press the buttons. What could be the possible causes and how can I fix this issue?

First, check the fuse for the power window. It is usually located in the fuse box under the hood or in the glove compartment. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one of the same amperage rating.
