How to troubleshoot brake issues in a BMW 6 Series?

My BMW 6 Series seems to be having issues with the brakes, whenever I press down on the pedal, it feels spongy and doesn't respond as well as it used to. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

First, make sure there is enough brake fluid in the reservoir. Low brake fluid can cause a spongy feeling in the brake pedal. If the fluid is low, top it off and see if the issue persists. If it does, you may have air in your brake lines, which will need to be bled out. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, it's best to take your car to a trusted mechanic.
