How to troubleshoot the adaptive cruise control on a BMW 7 Series?

My adaptive cruise control on my BMW 7 Series is not working properly. It keeps disengaging and I'm not sure what's causing it. Is there a way to troubleshoot this issue?

First, make sure that the radar sensor and the cameras are clean and free from any obstructions. If they are dirty, clean them and see if that solves the issue. If not, try recalibrating the system by going through the settings menu on your car's display.

If cleaning and recalibrating the system doesn't work, then there might be a malfunction in one of the components. It's best to take the car to a certified BMW mechanic to diagnose and fix the problem. Don't try to fix it yourself as it could be a safety hazard.

I had a similar issue with my BMW 7 Series and it turned out that the adaptive cruise control module needed to be replaced. So, it's also a possibility that the module is faulty and needs to be replaced. Again, it's best to take it to a professional rather than doing it yourself.
