Is it normal for my BMW 1 Series to make a rattling noise when accelerating?

I recently noticed that my BMW 1 Series makes a rattling noise when I accelerate. Is this something I should be concerned about?

I had a similar experience with my BMW 1 Series and it turned out to be a loose heat shield. Have a mechanic inspect it to be safe.
