Is it normal for my BMW M2 to make a tapping noise when idling?

I have noticed that my BMW M2 makes a tapping noise when idling. Is this something I should be concerned about?

It is fairly common for BMW M2s to make a tapping noise when idling. This can be caused by valve lifter issues or normal engine wear and tear. However, if the noise is excessively loud or persistent, it is recommended to have it checked by a mechanic.
