Is it normal for my BMW M7 to make a loud noise when starting the engine?

I recently purchased a BMW M7 and I've noticed that when I start the engine, there is a loud noise coming from the engine. It goes away after a few minutes but it's a bit concerning. Is this normal or should I get it checked out?
