Is it normal to hear a clicking sound in my BMW i8's engine when I accelerate?

I recently purchased a BMW i8 and have noticed a clicking sound coming from the engine when I accelerate. Is this something I should be concerned about or is it normal for this type of car?

It is completely normal to hear a clicking sound in the engine of your BMW i8. This is due to the high-performance nature of the car and is nothing to be concerned about. However, if the clicking sound becomes louder or more frequent, it may be a sign of a deeper issue and it would be best to take your car to a certified BMW technician.

Most likely, the clicking sound you are hearing is just the sound of the fuel injectors. They tend to be louder in high-performance vehicles like the BMW i8. As long as the sound is not accompanied by any other issues, you can rest assured that it is just a normal characteristic of the car.

I have owned a BMW i8 for several years now and can confirm that the clicking sound you are hearing is completely normal. However, if it is causing you concern, I recommend taking your car to a BMW dealership for a professional inspection.
