Is the BMW M7 worth the upgrade from the 5 series?

I am considering upgrading from my current BMW 5 series to the M7. Can anyone provide insight on the differences and if it is worth the extra cost?

As a current M7 owner, I highly recommend the upgrade. The performance and luxury are unmatched compared to the 5 series.

I test drove both and while the M7 does have some added power, I didn't feel like it was worth the significant price increase. Stick with the 5 series.
