Is the BMW M9 faster than the M8?

I am considering buying a BMW M9 and I want to know if it is faster than the M8. Can anyone who has driven both models provide some insight?

The BMW M9 is actually slightly slower than the M8 due to its added weight and larger size.

In terms of speed, there is not much of a difference between the M9 and M8. It ultimately comes down to personal preference.
