Is there a difference between the BMW 4 Series Coupe and Gran Coupe?

I'm considering buying a BMW 4 Series, but I'm not sure if there is a significant difference between the Coupe and Gran Coupe versions. Can someone explain the key differences between the two?

Personally, I would go for the Gran Coupe. It has a more practical four-door design and still has the sporty appeal of a coupe.
