Unusual noise from BMW iX3 brakes

I recently purchased a BMW iX3 and I've noticed an unusual noise coming from the brakes. It's a sort of clicking or grinding sound. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is it something I should be concerned about?

Hi Julia, I have also encountered this issue with my BMW iX3. It's actually a common problem with electric brakes. The sound can be quite concerning but it's usually nothing to worry about. It's likely caused by the brake pads wearing down and it should go away as you continue to drive. However, if the noise persists or gets louder, it's always a good idea to have it checked by a mechanic just to be on the safe side.

Hi Julia, I have a BMW iX3 as well and I've noticed the same noise from my brakes. As scary as it may seem, it's normal for electric cars. The regenerative braking system used in electric vehicles can make unusual noises compared to traditional brakes. But rest assured, it's not a safety concern and won't affect the performance of your car. If the noise really bothers you, you can always bring it to the dealership for further inspection.

Hi Julia, I've been driving a BMW iX3 for over a year now and I've definitely noticed the noise you're talking about. In my experience, it's nothing to worry about. However, I did have the brakes checked at my last service appointment just for extra peace of mind. They confirmed that everything was in good working condition. So my advice would be to monitor the noise but don't stress too much about it.
