What are common issues with the BMW M1's cooling system?

I've noticed that my BMW M1's temperature gauge is constantly fluctuating and I've noticed leaks under the car. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It sounds like you may have a coolant leak. This is a common issue with the BMW M1 and can be caused by a number of things such as a damaged radiator or a malfunctioning water pump.
