What are some common issues with the BMW M5 brakes?

I recently purchased a used BMW M5 and I've noticed some issues with the brakes. They seem to squeak and vibrate when I apply pressure. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It's possible that the brake pads are worn and need to be replaced. It's also possible that the rotors are warped and need to be resurfaced or replaced.
