I noticed that the BMW iX3 has Active Lane Keeping Assistant as one of its features. Can you explain what this feature does and how it differs from traditional lane departure warning systems?
ReplyActive Lane Keeping Assistant, also known as Lane Keep Assist, is a driver assistance system that helps keep your vehicle in the center of its lane. It works by using cameras or sensors to detect lane markings and then gently applies steering torque to keep you in your lane. This is different from traditional lane departure warning systems which only alert you if you are veering out of your lane.
As someone who has experience using Active Lane Keeping Assistant in my own BMW, I highly recommend this feature. It not only increases safety on the road, but also reduces driver fatigue on longer trips.
