The BMW X6's plug-in hybrid powertrain is called the eDrive system. It combines a 3.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. The eDrive system allows for up to 19 miles of pure electric driving and also provides a boost function for added power when needed.
