I am looking to purchase a BMW M9 and I am wondering what the difference is between the standard M9 and the M9 Competition. Can anyone provide some insight?
ReplyThe main difference between the BMW M9 and the M9 Competition is the engine. The M9 has a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 engine while the M9 Competition has a 3.0L twin-turbo inline-6 engine. This results in a difference in horsepower and torque, with the M9 producing 473 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, and the M9 Competition producing 503 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque.
Other differences between the two models include the M9 Competition having stiffer suspension and a more aggressive exhaust note. It also comes with sport seats and carbon fiber interior trim. These upgrades come at a premium price, so it ultimately depends on your personal preferences and budget.
In my opinion, if you're mainly going to use the car for everyday driving, the standard M9 will be more than enough. But if you plan on taking it to the track or want a more exhilarating driving experience, then the M9 Competition would be worth the extra cost.
