Hi Sarah, great question! The main difference between the X4 xDrive30i and the xDrive M40i is the engine. The xDrive30i has a 2.0-liter inline-four turbocharged engine while the xDrive M40i has a 3.0-liter inline-six turbocharged engine. This results in a significant difference in power and acceleration. The xDrive M40i has 355 horsepower and can go from 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds, while the xDrive30i has 248 horsepower and takes 6.0 seconds to reach 60 mph.

Hey Sarah, I would recommend going for the xDrive M40i if you want a more powerful and sporty driving experience. The additional power and quicker acceleration make a noticeable difference in the overall performance of the car. However, if you don't need the extra power, the xDrive30i is still a great choice. It has a more fuel-efficient engine and a lower starting price. It really depends on your personal preferences and budget.
