What is the difference between the BMW X5 sDrive40i and the xDrive40i?

I am torn between these two models and I'm not sure which one would be the better choice for me. Can someone please explain the differences in terms of performance, handling, and overall driving experience?

Hi Maria, the main difference between the sDrive40i and xDrive40i is the type of drivetrain. The sDrive40i has rear-wheel drive, while the xDrive40i has all-wheel drive. This means that the xDrive40i will have better traction and handling in inclement weather and on rough roads. As for performance, the xDrive40i has a slight advantage with its all-wheel drive system, but both models have the same engine and similar horsepower and torque ratings. It ultimately comes down to your personal driving needs and preferences.

Hi Maria, in terms of overall driving experience, the xDrive40i may feel a bit more planted and confident due to its all-wheel drive system. However, the sDrive40i may offer a slightly more dynamic and responsive driving experience with its rear-wheel drive setup. It really depends on your individual driving style and preferences. My advice would be to test drive both models to see which one feels more comfortable and suits your needs.
