What is the optimal oil type for a BMW 6 Series?

I recently purchased a used BMW 6 Series and I'm not sure what type of oil to use. Should I use synthetic or conventional oil? And how often should I change the oil? I want to make sure I'm taking care of my car properly.

Synthetic oil is recommended for BMW 6 Series as it provides better protection and longer engine life. As for oil change, it is recommended to do so every 10,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first.
