What is the procedure for changing the oil in a BMW 3 Series?

I have a BMW 3 Series and I need to change the oil. Can someone walk me through the steps and offer any helpful advice?

First, park the car on level ground and ensure the engine is cool. Next, locate the oil drain plug underneath the engine and place an oil pan beneath it. Use a wrench to remove the drain plug and drain the old oil into the pan.

After the oil has drained, replace the oil drain plug and move to the top of the engine. Remove the oil cap and use a funnel to pour in the recommended amount of new oil. Make sure to check the dipstick to ensure the oil level is correct.
