What is the purpose of the Sport+ mode in the BMW 2 Series?

I noticed there is a Sport+ mode in my BMW 2 Series but I'm not sure what it does. Can someone explain its purpose and how it differs from the other driving modes?

Sport+ mode is designed for more aggressive driving and provides a sharper response from the engine and transmission. It's best used for highway driving or when you want a more exciting driving experience.

I find Sport+ mode to be most useful on twisty roads as it allows for more precise handling and faster acceleration. Just be careful not to use it in heavy traffic as it can make the car more jerky and less comfortable to drive.

I personally prefer using Sport+ mode when I'm running late and need to make up time on the road. It definitely gives a noticeable boost in power and makes the car feel more sporty.
