What is the purpose of the Sport+ mode in the BMW 4 Series?

I recently purchased a BMW 4 Series and noticed there is a Sport+ mode in the driving settings. What does this mode do and when should I use it?

Sport+ mode is designed for a more aggressive driving experience. It adjusts the throttle response, transmission, and suspension to provide a sportier feel. You should use it when you want a more dynamic and engaging driving experience.

In Sport+ mode, gear shifts are quicker and the steering becomes more responsive. It is great for tackling twisty roads or when you want to push the car to its limits on the track. Just be aware that it may impact fuel efficiency and ride comfort.

I find Sport+ mode perfect for everyday driving in traffic. It helps me accelerate quicker and makes passing other cars a breeze. However, I wouldn't recommend using it in wet or slippery conditions as it can be a bit too aggressive.
