Why are the brakes on my BMW i3 making a grinding noise?

I've noticed that whenever I apply the brakes on my BMW i3, there is a loud grinding noise. Is this something I should be concerned about? Is it a common issue with the i3 model or do I need to get it checked out by a mechanic?

It sounds like there may be an issue with your brake pads. I would recommend taking your car to a certified BMW mechanic to get it checked out. They will be able to properly diagnose the issue and provide you with the necessary repairs.

I had a similar issue with my BMW i3 and it turned out to be a problem with the brake rotors. I would suggest getting your rotors checked as well as the brake pads.

If the grinding noise is only happening at certain speeds or when you brake harder, it could be an issue with your brake calipers. It's best to have a professional take a look and replace any faulty parts.
