Why does my BMW 1 Series produce a squeaking noise while driving?

Recently, my BMW 1 Series has been making a squeaking noise while driving. It seems to be coming from the front of the car and happens consistently regardless of speed. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Alicia, based on your description, it sounds like the squeaking noise could be coming from worn out brake pads. I would recommend taking your car to a mechanic for a brake inspection and potentially getting new brake pads installed.

Hey Alicia, another possible cause of the squeaking noise could be a loose belt in the engine. I would suggest having your mechanic check the belts to see if any need to be tightened or replaced.

Hi Alicia, have you recently changed your tires? If so, the noise could be coming from improperly installed lug nuts. I would recommend having your tire installation checked by a professional.
