I recently purchased a BMW i3 and was expecting to get the advertised range of 153 miles per charge. However, I have noticed that my actual range is much shorter. Is there something wrong with my car or is this normal?
ReplyHi Lisa, it's common for the actual range of electric cars to be lower than the advertised range. This is because the estimated range is based on ideal driving conditions and may not account for real-world factors such as weather, terrain, and driving habits. However, if you are consistently getting a significantly shorter range, it may be worth taking your car to a BMW dealer for a check-up.
Hi Lisa, have you tried using the ECO PRO or ECO PRO+ modes? These modes can help increase your range by adjusting things like acceleration and heating/cooling systems. Also, make sure you are not using too many energy-consuming features such as heated seats and audio systems. I hope this helps!
