Why does my BMW i8 make a clicking noise when I turn on the engine?

I recently purchased a BMW i8 and noticed that there is a clicking noise every time I start the engine. It doesn't seem to affect the performance of the car, but I'm wondering if this is something I should be concerned about. Any advice?

Hi Samantha, clicking noises when starting up a BMW i8 are normal. It is likely caused by the fuel injectors engaging and can be louder in hybrid vehicles. As long as the performance of your car is not affected, there is no need to worry.

Hi Samantha, it's recommended to have your BMW i8 inspected by a certified mechanic just to be safe. It could be an indication of a potential issue, but it's always better to be proactive and make sure everything is running smoothly.

Hey Samantha, I also have a BMW i8 and have experienced the same clicking noise. It's completely normal and nothing to be concerned about. However, if you notice any changes in the sound or performance, then it's best to get it checked out.
