Why does my BMW M1 engine make a ticking sound?

I noticed a ticking sound coming from my BMW M1 engine. It seems to be more noticeable at lower speeds and disappears at higher speeds. What could be causing this issue?

The ticking sound could be caused by a worn out valve lifter. It's important to get this checked and replaced as soon as possible to avoid any further engine damage. I recommend taking your BMW M1 to a certified mechanic for inspection and repairs.

Another possible cause for the ticking sound could be a low oil level. Check your oil level and top off if necessary. If the sound persists, it's best to bring your car to a BMW dealership for a thorough inspection.
