Why does my BMW M1 have a noisy transmission?

I recently bought a used BMW M1 and have noticed that the transmission makes a lot of noise while driving. Is this a common issue? What could be causing it?

There could be a few reasons for a noisy transmission in your BMW M1. One possibility is that the transmission fluid levels are low, which can cause the gears to grind and make noise. Another possibility could be worn out or damaged transmission components. It's important to get this checked out by a mechanic to prevent further damage and potentially costly repairs.

Have you tried changing the transmission fluid in your BMW M1? Old, dirty fluid can cause your transmission to make noise and even lead to more serious issues. It's recommended to change the transmission fluid every 60,000 miles or as stated in your vehicle's manual.

If your BMW M1 is equipped with a manual transmission, it's possible that the noise could be coming from the clutch components. Check for any signs of wear or damage and consider getting it replaced if necessary.
