Why does my BMW M2 engine make a ticking noise?

I recently purchased a BMW M2 and I've noticed that the engine makes a ticking noise when idling. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

It's common for BMW engines to make a ticking noise when idling. It's usually due to the fuel injectors and is completely normal.

If the ticking noise is accompanied by a loss of power or unusual vibrations, then it may be a sign of a larger issue. I would recommend bringing it to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis.
