Why does my BMW M2 have reduced acceleration?

I recently noticed that my BMW M2 is experiencing reduced acceleration. This is causing a delay in pickup and overall slower performance. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It's possible that your M2's air filter is dirty or clogged, which is affecting the engine's air flow. You can try replacing the air filter to see if that improves acceleration.

Another common cause for reduced acceleration in BMW M2 is a faulty mass air flow sensor. This sensor measures the accurate amount of air entering the engine, and a malfunctioning one can cause a decrease in performance. You may need to have the sensor replaced.
