Why does my BMW M2's engine make a ticking noise?

I've noticed that my BMW M2's engine has started making a ticking noise. I'm not sure if this is normal or something to be concerned about. Can anyone provide any insight into this issue?

The ticking noise you are hearing could be due to low oil levels. Check your oil level and top off if necessary.

Another possibility is that the ticking noise is caused by worn out camshaft bearings. It is best to have this checked by a certified mechanic.

I had a similar issue with my BMW M2 and it turned out to be a faulty valve lifter. I suggest taking your car to a BMW dealership for inspection and possible replacement.
