Why does my BMW M3's engine make a clicking noise?

I recently purchased a BMW M3 and noticed that the engine makes a clicking noise when I start the car. Is this indicative of a more serious issue?

The clicking noise you hear is most likely a normal sound during start-up. However, if the noise persists or becomes louder, it could be a sign of a faulty valve or lifter. It is recommended to get the noise checked by a certified mechanic.

I have a BMW M3 and have experienced the same issue. It turned out to be a loose valve cover. I would suggest getting it checked by a mechanic as soon as possible to avoid any potential damage.
