Why does my BMW M4's engine make a ticking noise at idle?

I have recently noticed that my BMW M4's engine makes a ticking noise at idle. It's not too loud, but it's definitely noticeable. Is this something I should be concerned about or is it just a normal sound for this car model?

Hi Emily, it's completely normal for the BMW M4's engine to make a ticking noise at idle. This is due to the direct injection system used in the car's engine. However, if the noise becomes too loud or if you notice any other unusual sounds, it's always a good idea to have it checked by a professional.

Hey Emily, I also own a BMW M4 and have noticed the same ticking noise at idle. After some research, I found out that this is a common issue with the model and it's nothing to be worried about. However, it's always a good idea to take your car to a BMW dealership for a thorough inspection just to be on the safe side.
