Why does my BMW M5 have a rough idle?

I have noticed that my BMW M5 has a rough idle when I start it up in the morning. The car also seems to shake a bit while idling. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

Hi Jessica, a rough idle can be caused by a number of factors. It could be due to a dirty air filter, spark plugs, or fuel injectors. I recommend taking your car to a mechanic for a tune-up to address these potential issues.

Hi Jessica, another possible cause of a rough idle could be a vacuum leak. This occurs when air enters the engine through a crack or hole in the vacuum system. You may also notice a hissing sound. I suggest having a mechanic inspect your car to locate and fix any potential vacuum leaks.
