Why does my BMW X3 make a loud noise when I accelerate?

I recently noticed that my BMW X3 makes a loud noise whenever I accelerate, but it seems to go away once I reach a certain speed. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The loud noise you are hearing is most likely caused by a faulty exhaust system. It's important to get this checked by a mechanic as soon as possible, as it can affect the performance and fuel efficiency of your vehicle. I would recommend taking it to a BMW dealership for a proper diagnostic and repair.

Another possible cause of the loud noise could be a worn down serpentine belt. This belt is responsible for powering multiple components in your engine, including the alternator and air conditioning. If it's worn down, it could be causing the noise you're hearing. I would suggest taking your car to a trusted mechanic to replace the belt.

If you have aftermarket parts installed on your BMW, that could be the source of the noise. These parts are not always designed for your specific vehicle and can cause issues with the exhaust and engine. I would recommend removing any aftermarket parts and replacing them with OEM parts from BMW to see if that resolves the noise.
