Why does my BMW X4 experience a delay in acceleration?

I have noticed that my BMW X4 seems to have a delay when I press down on the accelerator. It takes a few seconds before the car actually accelerates. Is this normal or is something wrong with my car?

This could be due to a delayed response from the car's electronic throttle control system. Try re-calibrating the system or get it checked by a mechanic.

Is your BMW X4 equipped with the start-stop function? This feature may cause a slight delay in acceleration when the engine restarts after being turned off.

A

It could be a sign of a worn out transmission or a faulty torque converter. I recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic for a proper diagnosis.
