Why does my BMW X5 make a clicking noise when I turn the steering wheel?

I recently noticed a clicking noise coming from my BMW X5 whenever I turn the steering wheel. It seems to happen more often when I am turning at low speeds. Is this something I should be concerned about? What could be causing this issue?

The clicking noise you are hearing could be caused by a faulty CV joint. This is a common issue in BMW X5s and can be easily fixed by a professional mechanic.

Another possible cause of the clicking noise could be a worn out steering column bearing. This can happen over time, especially if your X5 has high mileage. I recommend getting it checked out by a mechanic to avoid any further issues.

Sometimes, the clicking noise can be caused by a loose or damaged power steering pump. This is not only irritating, but it can also affect the performance of your vehicle. I suggest getting it checked out as soon as possible.
