Why does my BMW X8 make a knocking noise when I accelerate?

The most likely cause of the knocking noise is a worn out engine mount. This is a common issue in BMWs and can be easily fixed by replacing the mount.

Another possible cause could be a loose or damaged exhaust system. Check for any loose or missing parts and have them replaced if necessary.

If you notice the knocking noise is more pronounced when turning, it could be a sign of worn out suspension components. Have a mechanic inspect your suspension and replace any worn parts.
