Why does my BMW X8's engine make a grinding noise?

I have noticed that my BMW X8's engine makes a grinding noise when I start the car and accelerate. What could be causing this and what should I do about it?

The grinding noise could be due to a faulty serpentine belt or tensioner. I recommend taking your car to a certified mechanic to have it checked and possibly replaced.
