I've noticed that the BMW i3 only has a range of 153 miles on a full charge, while other electric vehicles can go much further. Is there a technical reason for this? Is the battery in the i3 not as advanced?
ReplyHi Alexandra, that's a great question. The BMW i3 actually has a smaller battery compared to other electric vehicles, which is why its range is lower. However, the i3 is designed to be a city car, so its range is still more than enough for daily use. If you need to go on longer trips, I would recommend looking into a different electric vehicle with a larger battery.
Hey Alexandra, the BMW i3 uses a different type of battery called a lithium-ion polymer battery, which is lighter and takes up less space. While this does mean a lower range, it also makes the car more efficient and agile. In my opinion, the trade-off is worth it for a city car like the i3.
