Why is my BMW 2 Series making a knocking noise when I accelerate?

I have a BMW 2 Series and recently I've noticed that when I step on the gas pedal, there's a loud knocking noise coming from the engine. It seems to be getting worse over time. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

It's possible that your 2 Series has a worn out or damaged engine mount. This can cause the engine to make knocking noises when accelerating. It's important to have this checked and replaced if necessary, as driving with a damaged engine mount can lead to further damage.

Another possible cause could be an issue with the fuel system. If there's a clog or blockage in the fuel lines, it can cause knocking noises when accelerating. Have a mechanic inspect and clean the fuel system to see if this resolves the issue.
