Why is my BMW 3 Series making a loud clunking noise when turning?

I recently noticed that my BMW 3 Series is making a loud clunking noise whenever I turn. It seems to be coming from the front of the car and gets worse when I turn at higher speeds. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

This could be caused by a number of issues, such as worn out suspension components or a faulty steering system. It's best to take your car to a mechanic to have it inspected and repaired.

D

Check your power steering fluid levels and make sure they are topped off. If that doesn't fix the issue, it may be time to replace your steering rack.

S

It's possible that your CV joint is worn out, causing the noise when turning. Have it checked and replaced if necessary.
