I recently bought a used BMW 6 Series and I've noticed that the engine makes loud noises when starting or accelerating. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

It is not normal for a BMW 6 Series engine to make loud noises. You should have a mechanic check it out as it could be a sign of a larger issue.
