Why is my BMW i8 making a clicking noise when accelerating?

I recently purchased a BMW i8 and noticed that when I accelerate, there is a clicking noise coming from the engine. It seems to be more pronounced when the car is cold and it disappears after driving for a while. Is this a cause for concern and should I bring it to the dealership?

It is likely that the clicking noise is coming from the fuel injectors. This is a common issue in modern cars and is usually not a cause for concern. However, if the noise is still present after the car has warmed up, it may be worth getting it checked out by a mechanic.
