Why is my BMW M5 engine making a ticking noise?

I just bought my BMW M5 and noticed that the engine is making a ticking noise. It's a brand new car and I'm concerned about the sound. What could be causing this and should I be worried?

The ticking noise could be coming from a variety of sources such as low oil level, worn out valve lifters, or a faulty timing chain tensioner. It's important to have it checked by a certified mechanic to properly diagnose and address the issue.

I had a similar issue with my BMW M5 and it turned out to be a loose heat shield on the exhaust. It's a simple fix that you can check yourself or have a mechanic take a look.
