Why is my BMW Z4 making a clicking noise when turning?

I have noticed a strange clicking noise coming from my BMW Z4 when I turn the steering wheel, what could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The clicking noise is most likely coming from a worn out CV joint. It is important to get this fixed as soon as possible to avoid further damage to your car.
