Why is the BMW 6 Series shaking when I brake?

I've noticed that my BMW 6 Series starts to shake when I apply the brakes. Is this a common issue? What could be causing it and how should I address it?

It can be a result of warped rotors. Have a mechanic inspect your brake rotors and replace them if necessary.
